Quality Director of NutraResearch’s group explains the attractiveness of the food supplements sector to Pharmacy students

Our Quality and technical director, Elena Comas, has held a training and motivational session for 4th grade Pharmacy students at the University of Barcelona.

During the session, she offered the university students an explanation of the many professional opportunities for Pharmacy studies, including the food supplement industry. “Although pharmacy students don’t tend to think about this industry, the food supplements sector is a very good option,” she explained to them. This is because it is an area that has evolved significantly in recent years and is in full development and growth. Comas, a graduate in Pharmacy from the same University of Barcelona with a specialty in the pharmaceutical industry and a Master’s in International Business, has explained to the students her professional career since leaving the Faculty. Based on her experience of her, she has shown students the importance of not only acquiring knowledge, but also following values and work habits that are just as decisive in the workplace.

Thus, she has highlighted the value of effort, of maintaining a commitment to oneself and to the organization of which one is a part, of knowing how to work as a team, and of being flexible in the face of changes, without being discouraged by setbacks. Undoubtedly, a talk that has turned out to be highly motivating, due to the great passion that Elena Comas transmits when explaining the work she does on a daily basis.
